Day Two: Administering the Diagnostics

Today, we will go over any remaining registration/getting started procedures before proceeding to the diagnostic.

The diagnostic is a tool for me to gauge the needs of the class and where we need to focus this semester. You may have heard the diagnostic referred to as an 'exam', but this is not graded. You will write an essay and receive comments from me, but because we have not covered any lessons in class yet, you will not receive a numerical or letter grade for this. Just do your best and try to relax!

For the diagnostic, you are not allowed to use the Internet, your cell phones, ANYTHING. Just open Microsoft Word and put everything else away and close all other programs. Save your Word document as netID_500E_diagnostic and save it to your desktop for now.
